We start off right in it with a meeting between Xavier, Magneto and Moira in Year 1, a meeting that up until this point had never been seen! It reminds me of this meeting between Xavier and Magneto from 1982’s Uncanny X-Men #161, one of the first views into their backstory, written by Chris Claremont and penciled by Dave Cockrum.

We get a refresher on Orchis and find out just what they’re up to. Holy mother of molds, it is no good for the team! Humanity’s morally loose Hail Mary against mankind.

Professor X and Magento bring Scott in first, revealing the information provided by Mystique. The first X-Man and frequent field commander, Cyclops is a divisive leader tasked with assembling a team to take the fight to Orchis and prevent the next generation technology that leads to Nimrod.
