Just a couple of nerds in love making a podcast about X-Men. It’s our intro episode! We talk about ourselves, the podcast and of course X-Men. Join us as we introduce one man’s elaborate scheme to get his wife into X-Men comics!
Justin’s been a fan of Marvel’s merry mutants since childhood with X-Men: The Animated Series starting his obsession and back issues of Uncanny X-Men from the ’80s and ’90s to fill in the gaps. Alicia counts the first X-Men movie in 2000 as her introduction but really enjoyed the second wave of movies with X-Men: First Class, Days of Future Past, and Logan.
For Alicia’s first venture into the comics, they’ll be reading Johnathan Hickman’s 2019 event, House of X and Powers of X. The 12 issues of these two series lay the foundation of one big world, setting up what’s to come as Hickman takes on the role of Head of X, directing the bigger story being told in the X universe.
We both love to cosplay our favorite Marvel characters.
And sometimes we play professionally!
